Busan Women and Family Development Institute (BWFDI)

strives to enhance gender equality and healthy families through policy development and research, education and various projects.

In order to make Busan a leading gender equality city of Korea, BWFDI researches on women, families, childcare, low birthrate, children, and adolescents of Busan. We are doing our utmost so that the research findings are reflected in various policies. Also, we strive to spread our achievements and knowledge by exchanging information, developing women’s capacity, and supporting gender equality education for Busan citizens.

In particular, BWFDI focuses on increasing women’s employment rate and birthrate in Busan by developing policies to create a supportive environment for work-family balance and offering related information.
