The symbol of Busan Women and Family Development Institute arranges five oval-shaped pillars with different colors in the shape of “w.” It symbolically expresses a future-oriented form of family and progressive role of women, and represents co-participation of all genders, diverse generations, and families. Among the pillars, the green, the red, the yellow, the blue, and the grey represents equality, passion, happiness, development, and harmony respectively.

Pursuing gender-equal and happy family, Busan Women and Family Development Institute develops a wide range of policies and programs for women, family, children, and youth. By nurturing the family culture of gender equality in which men and women share rights and duties, it aims to build a better Busan where women and family enjoy the full extent of happiness.
